Your privacy is the default setting.
CSQuiz is designed so that studying works without identity-based features. The app
stores your attempts, bookmarks, scores, and streaks locally on your own device. We do
not ask for your name, email address, or phone number, and we do not create an account
behind the scenes.
01
Internet Connection Requirement
CSQuiz needs an internet connection to download MCQ subjects, check for content
updates, and load certain services such as advertisements. If the device stays
offline for an extended period, the app may request an internet connection before
continuing so it can confirm content integrity and operate correctly.
02
Information We Collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit personally identifiable information. CSQuiz
does not require account creation, a name, an email address, or a phone number.
On first install, the app generates an anonymous random identifier (UUID) and stores
it on your device. That identifier does not contain personal information and is used
only for anonymous crash reporting.
Your study progress, including answered questions, test scores, bookmarks, and daily
streaks, stays exclusively on your device in encrypted local storage.
03
Advertising
CSQuiz uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may process your device's
advertising identifier, cookies, and other device-level data to serve personalized or
non-personalized ads under Google's own privacy rules.
Advertisements are not shown during the first 48 hours after installation. You can
opt out of personalized advertising at any time through your device settings.
04
Third-Party Services
The app uses third-party services that may process limited device information under
their own privacy policies:
- Google AdMob for advertising
- Google Play Services for core Android support services
- Google Firebase Analytics for anonymous usage analytics
- Google Firebase Crashlytics for crash and error reporting
You can review Google's privacy terms at
policies.google.com/privacy.
05
Content Downloads
When you download MCQ subjects, the app sends a request to our secure server with
only the requested subject identifier. No personal data, device identifiers, or
location data are included in that request.
Downloaded subject content is stored on your device in encrypted form. The app uses
RSA key exchange and AES-256 symmetric encryption so that subject files cannot be
read or extracted outside the app.
06
No Account Required
CSQuiz does not require registration or sign-in. There are no user accounts,
usernames, passwords, or personal profiles associated with the app.
07
Local Data Storage
The following information is stored locally on your device and not sent to our servers:
- Downloaded MCQ subject content
- Your attempt history and answer records
- Test scores and saved results
- Bookmarked questions
- Daily study streak data
- App theme preference
- The anonymous UUID used for crash reporting
08
Data Deletion
You can clear your progress data, including attempts, bookmarks, and streaks, from
the app's settings. To remove all locally stored data, including downloaded subject
content, uninstall the app from your device.
09
Children's Privacy
CSQuiz is designed for students studying computer science subjects and is not directed
toward children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from
children, and the app does not require personal information from any user.
10
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, the revised policy
will be posted on this page. Continued use of the app after a published update means
you accept the revised policy.
